Technical Joinery Consultancy · London
ASCAD Ltd bridges the gap between design intent and workshop reality. We produce technically precise joinery drawings, coordinate suppliers and installations, and help builders, architects and developers deliver bespoke timber joinery without the uncertainty.
About ASCAD Ltd
ASCAD Ltd was founded by Ahsan Shahzad — an architect and technical joinery designer with over a decade of combined experience across large-scale construction in Pakistan and bespoke timber joinery manufacturing in London.
Having run a design and production function inside a London joinery workshop, we understand what happens between the drawing board and the workshop floor. We translate architectural intent into drawings that are genuinely buildable — and we coordinate the process from survey through to installation sign-off.
What We Do
Every service is designed to reduce uncertainty and rework — whether you need a single drawing package or full design-to-installation coordination.
AutoCAD fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, sectional details and installation references issued directly to your workshop. Scaled correctly, annotated clearly, and ready for manufacture without interpretation.
We attend site, record existing conditions accurately, and translate findings into verified drawings. Survey-to-drawing coordination eliminates the dimensional errors that cause costly remakes and delays on installation day.
Bespoke timber shopfront design and detailing — from like-for-like replacements on listed buildings to full commercial fit-outs. We coordinate glazing interfaces, ironmongery, signage zones and PAS24 compliance throughout.
Complete window and door schedules with full dimensional drawings, ironmongery specifications, fire rating requirements and installation notes. From single residential replacements to multi-unit residential developments.
Design and detailing of bespoke fitted furniture, library joinery, kitchen cabinetry and storage systems. We resolve the buildability challenges before manufacture — not after the joiner arrives on site.
We help architects and developers identify the right joinery manufacturers for their projects, coordinate the technical handover, and manage communication between design, production and site through to completion.
How We Work
We run a structured workflow that keeps projects on programme and drawings correct first time.
We review your drawings and specification, attend site if required, and document existing conditions with verified measurements. Nothing is assumed.
We produce concept-level drawings for your review — resolving buildability, profile, proportions and material decisions before committing to fabrication detail.
Issued for manufacture: full AutoCAD drawing set with sections, elevations, details, material schedules and installation notes. Coordinated with glazing, ironmongery and structural requirements.
We remain available through installation — resolving site queries, issuing RFIs and attending if required. Handover is confirmed against the original drawing package.
Who We Work With
We work directly with the professionals who carry the risk — and who need technical joinery expertise they can rely on.
Architect drawings not detailed enough for fabrication. We take concept-level information and produce the dimensional, constructional detail your workshop actually needs.
Remakes caused by site dimension errors. We attend site before drawings are finalised, verify conditions, and build in appropriate tolerances.
No design resource in a joinery workshop. We act as your outsourced technical design function — available per project without the overhead of a full-time hire.
Glazing, ironmongery and joinery not coordinated. We manage the interface between trades so nothing is left to chance on installation day.
Compliance uncertainty on fire and security. We design to FD30–FD120 and PAS24 requirements from the outset — not as an afterthought.
